- Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS (required or obtained within 6 months of hire); EPNC, TNCC (preferred)
- Competence in operating advanced medical equipment
- Ability to assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision
- Ability to give direction to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff
- Advanced knowledge of Nursing Principles and Procedures
- Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on the medical/surgical unit
- Offer physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients
- Manage multiple patient populations including pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, and various surgical services
- Operate advanced medical equipment, including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, arterial lines, multiple IVs, and short-term ventilation support
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
- Maintain the standard of professional nursing while interacting with patients and significant others
- Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff
- Provide direct care for patients from admission to discharge, including discharge planning
- Receive direction from Providers, Charge Nurse, and Chief Nursing Officer
- Utilize basic office equipment and advanced cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation skills
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not required
