Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : X-ray / CT Radiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour shifts plus call Guaranteed Hours : 32 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Yes, license required to submit Certifications : BLS, Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R), Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) preferred Must-Have : Experience with CT and X-ray; willingness to learn and perform EKGs Job Description : - Work in a department equipped with 1 X-ray room, 1 portable X-ray machine, and 1 CT scanner. - Perform X-ray imaging for general, extremities, spines, and chest, and CT imaging for strokes, traumas, CTA, and AAA dissection. - Must be open to learning and asking questions; suitable for first-time travelers. - Expected to handle varied workloads, which can be busy or slow at different times. - Use Meditech for electronic medical records and Merge Catapult for Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). - Operate department-specific equipment : Cannon Aquillon Prime SP for CT and Carestream for X-ray. - Willingness to learn EKG using Mortara is necessary. - No requirement to start IVs, but if proficient, can be certified to perform them. - Shift scheduling includes 4 days per week with 9-hour shifts having variable start times : 7, 7 : 30, & 8, with the last clock-out at 1730. - Weekend call is required once a month; starting at 1730 on Friday to 0700 on Monday. - Weeknight call approximately 1x per week with a 15-minute response time; provision for meal, room, and board while on call. - Scrub color is not specified. - First-day orientation involves hospital introduction, followed by one week of department-specific training with a preceptor. - On-call duty starts after 3 weeks on-site. - No holiday rotation requirement stated, but it may be requested.
