Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Shift: Day - 8 hours, 5 days a week, 09AM - 05PM Guaranteed Hours: At least 40 hours per week
Experience: Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R)
- Current BLS Certification
Responsibilities:
Radiologic Procedures
- Performs quality and efficient radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
- Provides patient education and quality patient care while adhering to regulatory compliance.
Radiation Safety and Quality Control
- Practices radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards, and ensures the protection of female patients from harmful radiation.
- Performs quality controls following manufacturer recommendations and operates equipment accordingly.
Patient Care and Communication
- Assists with clerical duties and patient transportation as needed.
- Manages telephone calls, redirects appropriately, and records messages accurately.
Teamwork and Cross-Training
- Supports and may train or cross-train imaging staff members.
- Participates as a positive and supportive team member across hospital staff.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Reports equipment downtime and notifies the manager promptly.
- Troubleshoots equipment problems and liaises with service engineers when needed.
Documentation and Compliance
- Obtains informed consents and documents medical history relevant to patient procedures.
- Submits all necessary documentation to Health Information Management and the Radiologist.
This position requires flexibility to cover emergencies and may be required to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed. The ideal candidate will maintain patient confidentiality, punctuality, and adhere to work schedules while striving to comply with hospital, state, and federal regulations and policies.
