Job Title : Cath Lab Charge Tech Job Specialty : Special Procedures in Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Days, 48 hours per week, 7AM-7PM, 4x12 hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : 48 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years required, 5 years preferred. Travel experience required. License : KY Radiation License Certifications : ARRT, BLS, EKG Must-Have : Experience in EKG, cardiac electrophysiology, cath lab procedures, budgeting, keyboarding, imaging, infection control, and radiation safety. Job Description : - Ensure delivery of quality services in areas of operation. - Plan and implement the quality assurance program for the department. - Evaluate technical and support staff performance. - Provide efficient patient flow and quality services within Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology labs. - Oversee staff operation of imaging equipment. - Supervise and direct staff in the assigned areas. - Manage ongoing quality testing with personnel and vendors. - Implement and monitor radiation safety measures for patient and staff safety. - Prepare work schedules and assign duties to maintain patient flow and achieve production goals. - Ensure the department operates within budget. - Promote intra- and inter-departmental communication. - Supervise employees relative to performance, conduct, attendance, and adherence to policies. - Supervise orientation of new employees and serve as preceptor. - Demonstrate understanding and commitment to organizational mission and values. - Adhere to dress code and medical center policies on infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines. - Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with the medical center code of conduct and corporate policies. - Maintain patient confidentiality and treat patients and families with respect and dignity. - Perform other related duties as assigned.
