Job Title: Hospitalist
Description:
- The ideal candidate will have a 7 on/7 off schedule, working hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
- A Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine is required; Family Medicine candidates will not be considered.
- The Nurse Practitioner manages all floor calls, ensuring efficient patient care.
- This hospital features a Closed ICU setting, with Respiratory Therapists and codes being handled by the ICU team, minimizing procedures and line management for our Hospitalist.
- We provide support from internal medicine and family medicine residents for admissions, facilitating up to 8-10 admissions per day.
- Hospitalists will provide patient care in both medical office and hospital settings, striving to help patients reach optimal health.
- Duties include diagnosing, treating, and referring patients while maintaining expected medical standards.
- Collaboration with NPs, RNs, and clinical staff is essential to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Maintaining compliance with SMMC/SMPG policies and adhering to state and federal regulations are non-negotiable aspects of this role.
