- Manage and oversee the hardware and software asset management processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of hardware and software assets to ensure accuracy in inventory and licensing, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Utilize ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro to track, manage, and optimize asset lifecycles, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, finance, and legal, to ensure effective asset management practices and alignment with business objectives.
- Represent the HW/SW asset management team in all M&A activities, providing insights on asset valuation, integration planning, and compliance requirements.
- Be point of contact for all reporting needs from ServiceNow for the M&A Team.
- Develop and maintain asset management policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Analyze asset utilization and provide insights to inform purchasing decisions, retirement of obsolete assets, and software license renewals.
- Prepare and present reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting asset performance, compliance status, and improvement opportunities.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in asset management to continually enhance the organization’s asset management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in hardware and software asset management, including experience with audits and compliance and reading contractual language.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Pro and Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro is required.
- CSAM Certified preferred.
- Experience in M&A activities and understanding of the implications of asset management in the M&A process.
- Experience in reading contractual language for software license agreements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
