Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures (SP), functions, and triggers.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, packages, and functions for database automation and process improvements.
- Implement and optimize database indexing, query performance tuning, and partitioning strategies.
- Collaborate with Java developers to integrate databases with Java-based applications.
- Design and maintain ETL processes for data migration, transformation, and integration.
- Troubleshoot database issues, deadlocks, slow queries, and performance bottlenecks.
- Manage database security, backups, and recovery strategies.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
- Maintain documentation for database architectures, configurations, and best practices.
- 8 years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Strong expertise in Stored Procedures (SPs) development.
- Hands-on experience in Java programming for database integration and application development.
- Proficiency in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server databases.
- Experience in query optimization, performance tuning, and indexing.
- Knowledge of database design, normalization, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, scripting, and batch processing.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creating DDL for the DBA to execute for creating and maintaining the DB objects.
