We are looking for Systems Engineer 3 for our client in San Jose, CA.

Job Overview:
Pay Range: $70/hr to $87/hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree plus 0-2 years of experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience.
- Experience as a Hardware Designer or Systems Debug Engineer with experience at a computer hardware company working on at least 2 projects from development through bring-up and validation and supported through the release to production.
Responsibilities:
- Debugging PC systems with an emphasis on platform level debug.
- Understanding of PC industry standard busses, such as HT, PCI, PCIe, LPC, USB, and SATA.
- Knowledge of high speed digital design and signal integrity.
- Understanding of BIOS, OS, and driver interactions at the system level.
- Proficient understanding of x86 CPU architecture and functionality.
- Familiarity with switching power supplies.
- Providing root cause analysis and guidance to internal and customer design teams.
- Supporting customers as needed, which may require some travel.
- Ability to deal with a high level of ambiguity.
Nice to Have:
- Strong knowledge of x86 and chipset architectures and DDR 2/3 memory interfaces.
- Expert use of tools such as JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, SATA, USB, and PCIe bus analyzers.
- Familiarity with tools such as schematic capture, PLD, PCB layout, signal integrity, and simulation.
- Excellent communication skills.
