Job Description:
- The Client is seeking a Web Developer in the IT Division.
- This position will be reporting to the Website Coordinator and joining a highly dynamic and results oriented team.
- This position will be a key resource in providing enhancements and security for multiple WordPress applications.
- Work will support highway safety, emergency messaging, lead acquisition as well as several public outreach programs.
- Working across the full stack, building, maintaining and optimizing scalable, distributed features and solutions that enable positive user experiences across desktop and mobile.
- Developing new features in support of business and project requirements.
- Managing vendor support as needed for maintenance and enhancement.
- Working with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in information sciences, computer science, or a related field; considerable software implementation experience.
- Proficiency in PHP.
- Understanding of WordPress architecture.
- Understanding of SQL.
- Understanding of REST API.
- Ability to work as team member on web development projects end-to-end.
- Proven knowledge of back-end/infrastructure maintenance and optimization and UX/UI principles.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices.
- Outstanding communication skills.
