Job Summary:
CYNWAVE Solutions is seeking an HVAC Chiller Tech to join our growing HVAC team. HVAC Chiller Tech will provide HVAC preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs for established sites at Government military facility as was on demand service using accepted industry standard methods and following the manufacturers’ and/or Federal Government guidelines on facility HVAC equipment. The Tech will respond to client requests assigned in a safe, efficient, clean and professional manner.

Location: Vicksburg, MS
Shift: Monday – Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed for emergencies
Qualifications/Certifications:
HVAC License (required)
Chiller Certification (required)
NATE certification (required)
Universal CFC Certification (required)
HVAC Excellence or UA Star Certification (preferred)
Communicate effectively in English speaking and writing
Duties:
Primarily responsible for all chiller-related maintenance and repairs
Responsible for performing work safely and reporting to the Project Manager any observed safety and security problems
Maintain accurate lists, security and stocking levels of HVAC service tools and consumable supplies
Installation of HVAC equipment and systems
Perform preventative maintenance to commercial HVAC equipment including but not limited to chillers, heat pumps, split systems, roof top units, air handling units, pumps, cooling towers, VAV systems, etc.
Any reasonable assignment or request related to the building operation as directed by the Client, any company executive, the Project Manager
Be available to respond to emergency calls and administer an after-hours emergency response call list
- Integrate BAS controls with Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes, dampers, and zone thermostats to regulate air distribution and comfort levels.
- Configure BAS to control chiller and boiler setpoints based on building load and outdoor air conditions.
- Diagnose communication problems between the BAS and HVAC equipment, ensuring proper signal transmission.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions that might impact BAS functionality
- Possess a working knowledge of chiller operation, including capacity control, staging, and chilled water loop optimization through BAS control.
- Understand boiler operation principles and be familiar with BAS integration for efficient boiler sequencing and combustion control.
- Clearly document all BAS configuration changes, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance activities related to the HVAC system.
- Communicate effectively with building occupants regarding potential HVAC issues identified through the system.
- Facilitate HVAC equipment repairs or replacements.
- Must be able to respond to after-hours emergency calls
- Good physical condition with ability to lift 75 lbs. and possessing good fine motor coordination and ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, heights, and confined spaces
- U.S. Citizen or approved registered alien
- Ability to pass drug screening and Federal Government criminal background check
- Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): The HVAC Technician is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as hot and/or cold weather conditions, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Also, bending, stooping and occasional light lifting to accomplish tasks. Walking particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience working on HVAC systems and associated equipment
