Job Description:
The Senior Fund Accountant role focuses on fund performance reporting and accounting activities for private equity funds. The position involves providing critical support to front-office professionals, addressing investor relations matters, collaborating with business development on new funds and products, and assisting the internal marketing team by managing statistical and performance-related data.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries in the general ledger accounting system (e.g., Investran).
- Manage fund cash balances to determine capital call and distribution requirements.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statement packages, including investor reporting.
- Coordinate and execute capital calls and distributions.
- Review waterfall calculations.
- Oversee management fee calculations and prepare billing statements.
- Review outputs from external service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with internal departments, including tax, legal, and treasury teams.
- Analyze and interpret partnership agreements to ensure compliance with terms.
- Collaborate with senior team members on accounting issues and strategy.
- Contribute to special projects and respond to internal ad hoc requests.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or private equity fund administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Effective collaboration and team management skills to meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
