Overview:

A leading investment firm is seeking a Vice President to join its finance team. This role will involve overseeing financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and process enhancements while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public and private accounting, strong technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial filings, including periodic SEC reports (e.g., 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K), ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all required disclosures are included in financial statements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to draft accounting policy memoranda for new transactions and assess the impact of new accounting standards.
• Work closely with auditors and manage financial statement reviews, including compliance with SOX controls and documentation.
• Prepare materials for internal governance committees, including audit committees.
• Oversee regulatory reporting obligations for investment funds.
• Partner with technology teams to enhance automation and improve efficiency in financial reporting processes.
• Provide analytical support on special projects and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and implement process improvements to optimize financial operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members to support professional growth and team success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license required.
• 13 years of experience in public and private accounting.
• Strong background in SEC reporting and financial disclosures.
• Experience in investment funds, private equity, or asset management preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
