The Human Resources (HR) Manager will lead the HR function and provide direction and operational support for all HR activities within the Company. As a fast-growing organization, we require a hands-on leader who can manage and scale HR processes and systems while ensuring an exceptional employee experience. This role will focus on day-to-day operations, as well as managing talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll management and compliance, with a strong focus on aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to drive growth.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day HR operations, ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes and services, including full employee lifecycle management.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers on all HR-related matters, providing guidance, support, and solutions.
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring process, ensuring a fair, consistent process, as well as a process that produces high quality hires.
- Ensure an efficient onboarding process that provides a positive employee experience, sets clear expectations, and integrates new hires into the company culture.
- Oversee the design and strategy of our compensation and benefits programs (US and Canada), ensuring competitiveness in the market while balancing budgetary constraints.
- Provide benefits administration support including open enrollment, change reporting and claims resolution when needed
- Collaborate closely with payroll to manage changes and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the salary review process, including merit increases and bonuses.
- Manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date, compliant with legal regulations and aligned with company culture and goals.
- Manage the HRIS (BambooHR) to streamline HR processes, maintain accurate employee records, and deliver data-driven insights and analytics to leadership to help inform key business decisions around staffing, performance, retention, and compensation.
- Stay up to date with changes in employment law (federal, state and local regulations) and HR best practices, proactively implementing necessary changes to mitigate risk.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- At least 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
- Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, ideally within an IT industry.
- Experience in scaling HR functions for a growing company.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance.
- Expertise in HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and other HR software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven coaching abilities, coaching employees and managers at all levels.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
