Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant / Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our office environment. This position requires strong clerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently. Knowledge of Workers Compensation law is very beneficial. If the ideal candidate prefers, this position can be a part time, or flexible schedule, position.
Duties
- Manage and organize files, ensuring all documents are accurately categorized and easily accessible.
- Assist with legal drafting and documentation related to Workers Compensation law.
- Knowledge of Merus Case Management software is beneficial.
- Clerical duties including data entry, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, providing support as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with legal standards.
- Support the team in various administrative tasks to enhance overall productivity.
- Manage office workflows to ensure even assignment distribution and timely completion.
Requirements
- Proven organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Experience in clerical or administrative roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with Worker Compensation law is a plus.
- Computer literacy is a must.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Adobe, is a must.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
