Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized behavioral health assessments and interventions for residents to support their emotional and mental well-being.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops focused on emotional resilience, coping skills, and wellness strategies.
- Monitor and document residents' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and staff to address mental health concerns effectively.
- Conduct training and provide support to staff on behavioral health topics, ensuring a supportive environment for residents.
- Stay updated on best practices and regulatory requirements in behavioral health care.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current licensure in the state of Washington as an LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health, preferably in an assisted living, long-term care, or geriatric setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents and their families.
- Knowledge of mental health issues commonly affecting older adults, including dementia, depression, and anxiety.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience facilitating therapy groups or wellness workshops.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.

Basic Qualification
Education/Training: Mental Health license in Social Work or Social Services Consultant is required for 48 bed assisted living facility per WAC 388-97-0960.
Skills: Ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, residents, family members, visitors and the general public. Must have the ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility while remaining calm and professional. Must have strong communication skills and an ability to listen to and empathize with others.
Experience: Long term care experience or health care social work preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
