What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostician Liaison 2025-2026 position at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District?
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education from an accredited college or university;
- Minimum of 30 hours toward a Master's degree in education from an accredited college or university and will complete the Educational Diagnostician certification within the first school year of employment;
- Successfully completed two (2) of college or university major testing courses (Intellectual assessment and Achievement testing classes); and
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience (special education preferred).
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 193 days
SALARY:
Pay Grade T60 (Teacher Classification) as approved by the Board of Trustees

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs all duties related to the identification of students with disabilities.
- Completes all necessary documents for district processes regarding the provision of special education services.
- Follows district, state and federal regulations.
- Attends all Individual Education Plan meetings and completes accurate paperwork documenting the meetings.
- Coordinates the scheduling of staffings and IEP meetings.
- Meets all required timelines for assessment, Full and Individual Evaluations, reports, meetings, and documentation.
- Facilitates the coordinated efforts of evaluation personnel and services providers.
- Assumes responsibility to distribute appropriate IEP meeting information to various staff members, students and parents.
- Attends all required meetings and staff development.
- Under close supervision from a certified diagnostician, conducts assessment for identification of students with disabilities and prepares Full and Individual Evaluations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
