- This position will direct the administration and strategic development of all District compensation systems (to include the Teacher Incentive Allotment program), pay structures, stipend schedules, classification strategies, policies and programs.
- Bachelor's degree required (education, human resources, business, public administration, or other related field).
- Master's degree preferred;
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or equivalent preferred;
- Five (5) years of successful experience in analysis, design, and administration of compensation related programs.
- K-12 school experience preferred;
- Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, strategies and techniques of compensation administration;
- Demonstrated knowledge of general compensation including compliance with state and federal laws and regulations;
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup and other advanced Excel functions and formulas) required;
- Strong oral and written communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.

Essential Functions
- Direct the administration and strategic development of all District compensation systems (to include the Teacher Incentive Allotment program), pay structures, stipend schedules, classification strategies, policies and programs.
- Create and implement innovative compensation and classification systems and programs to ensure the District has a competitive compensation system to attract and retain the best talent.
- Administer the teacher salary schedule and ensure compliance with the state minimum salary schedule, federal wage and overtime laws.
- Evaluate and determine salary placement for new hires and promotions based on District compensation practices.
- Manage calculations of salaries and pay adjustments to include but not limited to, new hires, promotions/demotions, transfers, separations, stipends, and return from leave.
- Direct and develop procedures for the preparation and revision of job descriptions and for the classification of positions in the District compensation plan.
- Develop communication strategy and implementation plans to build transparency and understanding of classification and compensation programs and procedures.
- Direct comprehensive compensation studies, analyze data, and present recommendations.
- Implement the policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in the area assigned.
- Compile, maintain, file and secure all physical and electronic reports, records, and other required documents.
- Recruit, train, and supervise department staff and make sound recommendations relative to personnel placement, assignment, retention, discipline, and termination.
- Ensure that department operations contribute to the attainment of human resources and District goals and objectives.
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of human resource rules, regulations and practices.
- All other duties as assigned by the assistant superintendent of human resources.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
