Facility: Cypress Garden Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation
Location: Queens, New York
Shift: Part-Time, 8 AM to 4 PM
Pay Rate: $23.48/hr

Job Description:

Cypress Garden Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and visitors. The ideal candidate will have housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Clean resident rooms, including bathrooms and personal items (e.g., wheelchairs, commodes).

• Maintain the cleanliness of the spa area, utility rooms, storage rooms, and linen rooms.

• Report any needed repairs or maintenance issues to the Supervisor.

• Ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility, including dining rooms, dayrooms, break rooms, and public bathrooms.

• Dust and wet mop corridors, remove trash, and maintain clean floor surfaces.

• Refinish hard floor surfaces and vacuum/extract carpeted surfaces.

• Maintain adequate supplies such as bathroom tissue, paper towels, and hand soap.

• Change room divider curtains and window draperies as needed.

• Inspect and manage cleaning procedures, ensuring safe working conditions and high cleanliness standards.

• Suggest improvements for procedures or equipment to enhance safety and cleanliness.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping experience required; healthcare experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
