Position: RN Unit Manager
Location: Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Queens, NY
Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 annually, based on experience

Join our team at Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation as an RN Unit Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring top-quality care for our residents. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support and guide our nursing staff, making a positive impact every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the DON and ADON in managing the daily operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring team members adhere to their job responsibilities.
- Review and address staff grievances, escalating concerns to the DON as needed.
- Oversee staffing to ensure 24/7 nursing coverage, minimizing overtime and agency use.
- Lead performance reviews, progressive counseling, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions.
- Offer professional support to unit staff, fostering a collaborative and caring environment.
- Participate in quality assurance, budgeting, and committee activities, ensuring continuous improvement in care delivery.
- Take ownership of MDS completion and provide input on resident discharge plans in coordination with families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensure residents and their families receive compassionate, personalized care in a supportive atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the State of New York
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
