Position: Admissions Director
Facility: Cypress Garden Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation
Location: 139-66 35th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354
Shift: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
Pay Rate: $80,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience)
Job Duties:
- Ensure admissions operational excellence by monitoring and addressing operational issues while developing effective systems for improved workflow.
- Maintain a strong facility capacity census through strategic admissions planning and relationship-building with referral sources.
- Engage with the community by participating in events to enhance our facility's reputation and increase referrals.
- Take a patient-centered approach to ensure residents and families are well-informed and cared for during the admissions process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to ensure a steady flow of admissions.
- Verify financial information before admission and ensure clear communication within the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement processes, staying up-to-date with CMS guidelines, Department of Health regulations, and insurance requirements.
- Compile and present monthly statistics to inform the team’s decision-making.
- Lead and manage the admissions team, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Director, with a focus on admissions.
- Experience managing a team is required.
- Experience in Queens is preferred.
- Must have experience with short-term rehab.
- Director-level experience in a skilled nursing home is essential.
