Job Title: Housekeeping/Laundry
Facility: Cypress Garden Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation
Location: Flushing, NY
Shift: Part-Time, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23.48 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Housekeeping/Laundry position is responsible for ensuring that resident clothing is properly distributed, organized, tracked, and maintained. Key duties include:
- Maintain control and organization of resident clothing.
- Distribute cleaned clothing daily, ensuring each item is correctly labeled with the resident's name and room number. Any items without legible identification must be relabeled.
- Organize and maintain resident closets.
- When receiving new or used clothing, complete a Resident Clothing Form, accurately noting all items, including personal electronics such as TVs, DVDs, VCRs, etc.
- Foster positive working relationships with team members.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with residents and their families, ensuring clarity in both verbal and written interactions.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of nursing home experience preferred.
