About the Role:
The Maintenance Director at Cypress Grove Post Acute will play a crucial role in ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, ensuring that the environment is safe, clean, and conducive to the well-being of residents and staff. The Maintenance Director will develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures, manage a team of maintenance staff, and coordinate with external vendors as necessary. A key focus will be on preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance the longevity of the facility's equipment and infrastructure. Ultimately, the Maintenance Director will contribute to the overall quality of care provided to residents by maintaining a well-functioning facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in maintenance or facilities management is preferred.
- Proven experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with budget management and cost control in a maintenance setting.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all facility equipment.
- Manage and supervise maintenance staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
