What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director of Continuous Improvement position at Cypress HCM?
A key opportunity exists for a driven and highly motivated individual to become a proactive member of our global Operational Excellence (OPEX) community as an Associate Director of Excellence at our Diagnostic Solutions.
This position reports directly to the Worldwide VP Integrated Supply Chain. The Associate Director, Excellence will be passionate about creating a culture of operational and customer excellence, implementing change, and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) across the network through the Excellence program.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy strategic plans to ensure alignment with business objectives. Partner with site leadership teams to create a strategic vision of improvement goals, site master plan, and governance process.
- Collaborate with plant leadership teams and Business Unit Managers to implement Excellence and Cost to Win plans.
- Cultivate a zero-loss mindset among critical areas to optimize quality, delivery, and cost while improving safety.
- Mentor plant leadership teams on Excellence fundamentals in safety, quality, and reliability.
- Drive Excellence capability development through cross-functional alignment of resources towards shared goals.
- Lead Kaizen events and facilitate breakthrough improvements.
- Support collaboration within site leadership teams to generate, sustain, and deliver multi-year Cost to Win portfolios.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field.
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience or leadership experience in a plant.
- 3 years of experience operating a production system.
- Certified Production System practitioner.
- Experience in Lean and Six Sigma business systems.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
- Excellent understanding of operational excellence and customer service interaction.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management background.
- Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
