CMM Programmer
This exciting role will be responsible for creating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs to use for the inspection and verification of specific features for customer engineering on CMMs. A solid understanding of operating a CMM and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Monroe, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of aerospace components. Responsibilities:
- Work independently to analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine which features to inspect, verify, and report.
- Writes CMM program headers including setup instruction sheets.
- Writes CMM program within the PC-DMIS software.
- Revises programs as required eliminating errors or omissions.
- Perform CMM inspection on first runs, proving out program and setup instructions.
- Follows all safety guidelines, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
- Performs surface plate inspections and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Two years of CMM machine inspection experience (recent).
- Three years of Quality Assurance experience (recent).
- Excellent GD&T technical and working knowledge and exceptional inspection skills using CMMs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- “Team player” with abilities to work in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Ability to provide technical assistance to manufacturing and inspection personnel as appropriate.
- Strong working knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, etc.
- Previous CMM Programming experience.
- Previous CATIA, software experience preferred.
Salary Range:
- $30.00-50.00 per hour depending on experience.
Weekly Schedule (NIGHT SHIFT):
- Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
