A medical manufacturing client is looking to hire a CMM Technician on 1st shift in Forest Lake, Minnesota. This direct hire employee will be responsible for understanding, communicating, and verifying conformance to internal and external quality standards and will need to work 100% onsite in order to program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines or CMMs.

Must Have Skills :

  • At least 3 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines
  • Understanding of modern manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of systems implementation including ISO 9001 and AS9100 preferred
  • Experience with basic and advanced measurement tools (OGP, Trimos, tool scopes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading / GDT
  • Understanding of component and / or mold manufacturing
  • Ability to make decisions on in process tolerancing.

Essential Duties :

  • Work cooperatively with all employees.
  • Program and operate CMM - previous experience required
  • Initiate, perform and maintain inspection instructions for receiving, in-process and final inspections.
  • Develop and / or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
  • Investigate and determine cause of quality issues; assist production and other personnel with Corrective Action process.
  • Assist in the handling and documentation of nonconforming product.
  • Assist in maintaining the calibration system.
