What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control System Engineer position at Cypress HCM?
A large medical device manufacturing client is looking for a direct hire Senior Automation Engineer to join their Mebane, NC site. This person will report to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager and support the key business objectives through production support and assigned plant specific projects, the associate drives activities to deliver upon these objectives. The Sr. Automation Engineer is proficient in many key areas defining the duties and responsibilities of this role.
Minimum Qualification/s:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of experience in an engineering role.
- Able to organize and prioritize assignments providing direction to and participation in assigned functional teams.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
- Supports and drives change management within function.
- Key functional or cross functional liaison with stakeholders concerning operational or project deliverables.
- General knowledge and understanding of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 820 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
- Experience with Manufacturing equipment, such as filling, packaging, autoclaves.
- Process control, batch processing, SCADA and MES
- PLC programming, Studio5000 based control systems.
- HMI programming, both FactoryTalkME and SE platforms
- On the floor troubleshooting skills, working with Maintenance Technicians
- ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Keyence and Cognex vision system experience
- control system design experience, servos, and VFDs
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics.
Duties of Role Include:
- Troubleshooting Manufacturing Issues and general floor support across production lines
- Understanding of Manufacturing Statistical methods, such as process capability and Design of Experiments
- Emerging Subject Matter Expert in the application of many statistical tools used to assist in development and troubleshooting of products and processes.
- Expert in the CAPA process and execution of programs.
- Demonstrated abilities in modeling, assembly, and drawing work with CAD
- Technical Writing skills as applied to manufacturing documentation and process development
- Proficient in the creation and revision of technical documentation.
- Reviews many technical writing documents prior to release.
- Advanced proficiency in PLC diagnostics and programming, MES experience a plus.
Salary of $90 – 100K annually
