Data Scientist II
Location: Norcross, GA 30092 | Hybrid Remote: 1-3 days in the office per week
Travel: Quarterly company events in Cincinnati

We are seeking a Data Scientist II to join our team using a range of artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques. We are applying technologies such as natural language processing (NLP), object detection, image segmentation, and classifiers to drive innovation. You will play a key role in utilizing data-driven insights to influence decision-making and support company growth.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, curate high-quality training datasets, and develop machine learning solutions to solve business challenges. Lead innovation by researching and experimenting with the latest algorithms, architectures, and techniques.
· Optimize and fine-tune deep learning models to enhance performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
· Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of models, providing recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
· Contribute to the creation of internal frameworks and libraries to streamline ML workflows.
· Effectively communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging AI technologies.
· Mentor and guide team members, sharing best practices and fostering growth.
Requirements:
· Bahcelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Proven Data Scientist, particularly in areas like computer vision, NLP, or predictive analytics.
· Deep understanding of deep learning architectures for computer vision and NLP.
· Expertise in computer vision techniques, such as classification, object detection, and image segmentation.
· Familiarity with computer vision libraries like OpenCV and scikit-image.
· Strong knowledge of NLP methods and techniques, including text preprocessing, word embeddings, and language modeling.
· Proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
· Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
· Experience with cloud platforms (GCP) and deploying models to production environments.
