What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Engineer-Plastic Injection Molding position at Cypress HCM?
A tooling design engineer is needed to plan and develop robust designs according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate comes from a Tooling and CNC Machining background and has experience working with CREO software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers to ensure product conformity and meet their requirements.
- Assist customers with part design issues, creating more robust designs.
- Develop detailed written communication documenting processes used.
- Collaborate effectively with all employees.
- Ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve mold building techniques.
- Communicate at a high level both internally and externally.
Required Skills:
- Trade school diploma with emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Mold Designer.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills and business correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software like Creo and Solid Works.
- Knowledge of engineering operations, blueprint reading, and manufacturing systems.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions on in-process tolerancing.
Working Conditions:
The position requires the ability to perform daily tasks safely and work effectively with customers, vendors, and other departments.
This role reports directly to the General Manager.
