Network Administrator / Engineer

Location : Sterling, VA 20166| Onsite Monday - Friday during normal business hours

Employees : 400 | Industry : Technology Consulting (Professional Services)

Responsibilities :

  • Hands-on network administration, supporting a complex data center construction project
  • Attending daily meetings, ensuring communication is strong between IT and construction teams
  • Overseeing low voltage wiring and building management
  • Ensuring cabling and wiring meets necessary standards and requirements
  • Installing and supporting network infrastructure for data center operations
  • Switch configuration and port configuration / commissioning
  • Managing projects including cabling and wiring – ensuring requirements alignment
  • Environment includes Dell servers, VMware, storage arrays, phone systems, camera systems, badge / card readers, workstations

Requirements :

  • 5 years of professional experience in network administration and engineering
  • Experience supporting data center builds, working with construction teams
  • Experience with ethernet and IP networking and protocols
  • Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, TCP / IP, UDP, HSRP, VRF, VPC, DNS, ARP, Tunnels and Port Channeling
  • Experience with switch configuration, port configuration and commissioning
  • Experience supervising low voltage wiring and cabling work for data center workstations
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Experience in consulting / professional services or managed services is preferred

    • Compensation :

  • 65.00 - $75.00 per hour

    • Salary : $65 - $75
