What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness Coordinator position at Cypress Physical Therapy?
Cypress Physical Therapy is seeking a versatile Wellness Coordinator to join our team. This role will assist physical therapists by explaining plans of care to patients, clarifying insurance coverage, and educating patients on advanced physical therapy technologies. In addition, the Wellness Coordinator may serve as a Physical Therapy Technician or assist with Front Office duties, contributing to a smooth and efficient clinic operation. The Wellness Coordinator is a non-licensed person who aids in the practice of physical therapy, and who at all times acts under the orders, direction, and on-site supervision of a licensed physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with physical therapists to explain personalized plans of care to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment goals and timeline.
· Operate the wellness booking platform including booking, scheduling, payment processing, client management and member management
· General understanding of the benefits and process of Evergreen Wellness services by assisting in developing and promoting wellness programs and workshops, encouraging healthy lifestyle habits for long-term patient wellness.
· Able to administer all wellness services, including cleaning, set-up and activation
· Ensure all wellness space ae maintained
· Complete understanding of all of wellness operations and maintenance
· Educate patients on the use and benefits of advanced physical therapy technologies (e.g., laser therapy, electrical stimulation, etc.) used in their treatment.
· Assist physical therapists with patient treatments as needed, including setting up treatment areas, preparing equipment, and helping patients perform exercises under supervision.
· Support front office personnel by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, handling incoming calls, and ensuring smooth patient check-ins and check-outs.
· Serve as a point of contact for patients, addressing questions and concerns about treatment plans, insurance coverage, and clinic services.
· Reports problems to Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants or other appropriate personnel
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, kinesiology, exercise science, or a related field (preferred).
· 6 months of experience in a wellness, healthcare, or customer service roll (preferred).
· Familiarity with physical therapy treatments and advanced therapy technologies (preferred).
· Stretch certified (preferred)
Physical Demands:
· Stands, walks, and pushes most of the day with frequent lifting of 35 lbs and supporting patient

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
