About the Role:
As a Wellness Director, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the overall well-being of our residents by developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive wellness programs. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure our residents have access to engaging activities, personalized care plans, and health services that promote a vibrant and active lifestyle.
Qualifications:
- A passion for working with senior adults.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing within the state of Texas.
- A minimum of one (1) year of prior management experience in a senior living community or related business preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to direct the work of others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of personalized care and services that meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
- Manage the day-to-day staffing needs of the community, including maintaining proper staffing levels for all shifts and covering shifts as needed.
- Assess the health, functional, and psychosocial status of residents. Initiate individualized care plans and proactively manage care and services for each resident.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care and maximize the resident's opportunity to remain in their environment.
- Assist in the maintenance of resident charts, and electronic health records, and review documentation performed by Wellness team members.
- Ensure resident and family needs and/or concerns are responded to in a timely manner.
- Communicate residents’ health and well-being, personal needs, risk management issues, and concerns from residents, families, or outside healthcare providers.
- Provide ongoing training, development, and education to Wellness team members, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training if required.
- Implement policies and procedures that promote resident safety, well-being, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits, addressing any deficiencies and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Executive Director or Corporate Nursing Team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling medical equipment and documents.
- Stamina to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
