EVS Manager - Full Time M-F

**Starting Rate of Pay is dependent on years of experience**

GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading all EVS Techs. He/She will assure the maintenance of a clean, healthy, and safe environment in all aspects of healthcare. This position is also responsible for cleaning and repairing facilities and insuring safe and sanitary living and working environment. The EVS Tech Lead will ensure that all education, evaluations and training are completed by each EVS Tech. In combination with the Facilities Manager, he/she will contribute to the evaluation of all EVS Staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attends all required staff training, including orientation and continuing education to ensure knowledge of job safety and emergency management procedures; Ensures that all EVS Technicians attend training.
• Maintains ongoing communication with Facilities Director and other department heads and/or staff to ensure appropriate communication and collaboration between all departments and Environmental Services Department.
• Conducts ongoing maintenance of hospital equipment, grounds, and inspections on routine and as-needed basis; provides basic minor repairs/ renovations, painting, assembly of equipment, furniture, etc.; assists the Director of Facilitiesin responding to maintenance emergencies.
• Maintains log of work completed by all EVS staff.
• Assures that staff is trained on the MSDS Online and how to direct other staff members when employees have contact with chemicals.
• Assures that all guidelines and standards are met by governing agencies standards as it relates to EVS.
• Ensures that all patient safety rules are followed by staff.
• Other responsibilities and/or special projects as assigned/required.
• Assures that employees, patients, and staff are provided with a safe environment.
• Must always use chemicals and supplies as noted on the MSDS and in a manner that is fiscally responsible.
• Keeps track of employee hours and works with the Director of Facilitiesto ensure that work hours are productive.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

· High School graduate or equivalency preferred

· At least two years of hospital EVS/Housekeeping experience.

· Previous management experience preferred.

· Experience in maintenance field preferred

· Ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

· Ability to follow detailed instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
