OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
We are looking for a Meat Cutter to break down carcasses and fabricate into retail cuts that exceed customer expectations. The Meat Cutter reports directly to the Room Lead.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Harvest Livestock
Break Down Carcasses
Fabricate Carcasses into Retail Cuts
Trim to Customer Specifications
Help Monitor All Daily Logs & Record
Maintain Organization
Inspect Packaging to Ensure Labeling Requirements are met
Clean and Sanitize Work Environment
Assist as Needed in Plant Operations
Lead by Example
Maintain a Positive Team Morale
Help Solve Problems and Teach Others to become Problem Solvers
Create an Excellent Customer Experience
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
- Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not a requirement. We encourage those with grocery store or restaurant meat cutting experience to apply as well as those who have worked in a meat processing facility. We are happy to train people who are excited to learn a new career as well.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds, etc.)
- Good hand-eye coordination

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $11.25-14.50 per hour depending upon experience. Opportunity for a pay increase based on performance at 90 day evaluation. We believe in rewarding a job well done. Experience is preferred but not necessary. On the job training is provided.
