Cypress Village is recruiting for a hospitality focused Friday Fitness Instructor to join our team!
This is a PRN position
Position Details: • Schedule: Fridays, 9:00 AM – 11:45 AM
• Compensation: $35 /hour, based on experience

- Class Structure: o 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM: Body Blast (Cardio Focused) o 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM: Body Boost (Strength Focused) o 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Body Balance (Seated/Balance Focused)
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Friday Fitness Instructor:
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, pre-designed workouts to groups of 15-20 residents, emphasizing cardio, strength, and balance training.
- Motivate residents during classes, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
- Ensure safety by monitoring residents' exercise techniques and modifying movements to suit varying skill levels.
- Set up/break down the exercise area, including chairs and equipment, before each class.
- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing equipment and chairs after use.
• Communicate with Cypress Village staff to report supply needs or resident concerns. • Provide customer service and address fitness-related questions or needs from residents
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Experience working with older adults in a fitness or wellness capacity.
- Nationally recognized fitness certifications such as ACSM, NASM, NSCA, ACE, or AFAA. Specialty certifications in Yoga, Pilates, BOSU, or TRX are a plus.
- Current CPR/AED certification. • Liability insurance.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.
- Positive, motivational, and effective communication skills with the ability to connect with residents at all fitness levels
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs. Additional Requirements: Submit invoices promptly for payment processing. • Adhere to Cypress Village’s policies and procedures. If you are passionate about helping older adults stay active, healthy, and engaged, we would love to hear from you!
