Job Description:
General Summary:
This position is accountable for producing and delivering large and small-scale media and buffers to support Upstream and Downstream Manufacturing Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Batching and delivering both large and small-scale media and buffer batches
- Assisting in the review & creation of operation documents by providing input to technical composition of documents
- Effectively demonstrate understanding of GMPs & how it applies to specific responsibilities.
- Following accurate oral & written procedures in operating production equipment & performing processing steps
- Maintain orderliness of process area
- Stock production area with supplies
- Monitoring operations to ensure compliance with process specifications
- Assist in training new employees.
- Utilize manufacturing knowledge to improve process operations and affect positive change.
- Ensure media and components are autoclaved and available to meet production schedule
Job Requirements:
- Associate's Degree - Life Sciences or High School Diploma/GED. 1 - 2 years in CGMP manufacturing environment preferred.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Control Systems
- Previous departmental experience in Media and Buffer
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and decision making skills
- Ability to work well within teams, cross-functional co-workers, and management
- Must be highly motivated, follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively, think logically, and thrive independently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be proficient in Word and Excel.
- Ability to work flexible hours and inconsistent schedules as necessary to meet production demands and timelines
- Detail oriented
- Able to follow written instructions and document work performed
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. A large amount of the work is completed in a cleanroom environment. While working in the area the gowning requirements are safety glasses, shoe covers, hood, gown, mask boots and gloves. Working conditions can include standing for long periods of time
