Job Title: Millwork Assistant Project
Manager
Reports to: Shop Manager & Upper
Management
Location: Belleville, NJ
FLSA Status: Full-time, Non-exempt
Summary/Objective:
The assistant project manager, under the direction of the project manager, will
assist with managing multiple millwork projects from award to closeout.
Assistance Project Manager's work with customers, vendors, drafters, fabricators, engineers, etc., and will help the project manager to ensure objectives & goals are met. The assistant project manager will provide administrative support to help ensure projects are completed on time, in full, under budget, to customer
expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain job list
- Review architectural drawings and contract documents in order to perform take offs and estimates for customer projects
- Prepare, send, and track change orders
- Communicate thoroughly with customers regarding RFIs and clarifications
- Ability to travel to job sites for field measurements, job site management, and weekly jobsite meetings with clients
- Assist with purchasing by sourcing materials, subcontracts, and vendor pricing
- Coordinate project documents for new projects
- Assist with submittal process
- Wearing requisite uniform and taking necessary precautions to remain safe **Steel-toed boots are required**
- 1-3 years experience in the millwork or construction industry
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to include a strong working ability in using Excel
- Detail oriented and focused
- Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing workmanship
- English written, reading, spoken
