The successful candidate will have the ability to operate equipment including but not limited to :
Excavator
Loader
Dozer (GPS Preferred)
Roller
Skid steer
Essential functions of the position :
- Perform a variety of tasks that will include having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocol
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
Following safety rules, regulations and procedures is mandatory
Maintain a clean job site : pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
Perform material handling and storage
The candidate must be willing to work long hours when required, some weekends and possible night work
Be flexible and able to take and follow orders in an independent or group setting
Have the ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Required Qualifications :
Experience in Heavy Highway Construction and / or Site Work preferred
Must pass a pre-hire drug screen (Drug Free Employer)
Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to report to work on time
A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be willing to travel to jobsites in possible remote locations
Must have reliable and punctual attendance
Current OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 card holders preferred
Ability to orally communicate with all workers and representatives on job site
Compensation :
Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan.
Base Salary Range $46,400-$120,000
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education / training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
