Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks under potentially adverse field conditions, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, stretching, walking, climbing, and bending.
- Follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures at all times.
- Participate in physical labor at heavy construction projects.
- Conduct selected demolition and removal of concrete and asphalt materials, fixtures, and other construction debris using mechanical and non-mechanical methods.
- Dump, spread, and tamp asphalt to repair joints and patch broken pavement.
- Perform roadside landscaping work, including clearing weeds and brush.
- Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the area each day.
- Lubricate, clean, and possibly repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Handle and store materials, load and unload trucks, and haul and hoist materials as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prioritize passing a pre-hire drug screen and maintaining a valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
- Current OSHA 10 card holders are preferred.
- Ability to orally communicate with workers and representatives on the job site.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites and adapt to changing situations.
