- must have advanced understanding of heavy construction activities including utility installation, earth moving, landfill operations and traffic control.

Essential functions of the position will include, but are not limited to :Ensure the safety of the work environment at all times by complying with Safety policies, rules and regulationsManage work crews and ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and per job specificationsPlan and coordinate daily operations in conjunction with project Superintendent including scheduling, materials ordering / inventory, and equipment needs / maintenanceReport labor, equipment and materials usedAnalyze and report actual costs to budgetCommunicate with other parties on the project including Superintendent, Project Manager, Engineers, Inspectors, Vendors and Construction ManagersTrain employees in proper and safe procedures, leading by exampleRead plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.)Qualifications :5 years of progressive construction experienceOSHA 10 (OHSA 30 preferred)Must past post-offer drug screening and be subject to random, post-incident / accident and reasonable suspicion testing (Drug Free Employer)Strong written and verbal communication skillsMust have a valid drivers license or reliable transportation to report to work on timewith record acceptable under company's insuranceAbility to rapidly learn computer and software applications for record keeping and reportingAbility to travel out of town to worksites throughout NY and VT is required including night and weekend work as requiredProven leadership and supervisory abilitiesWe provide excellent benefits including Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance and a Company Funded Pension Plan.Base salary range : Pipe Foreperson

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education / training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
