Asphalt Screed Operators

Jointa Lime Company is searching for dedicated Asphalt Screed Operators who are willing to commit their service towards creating an efficient and innovative environment in a fast-growing, dynamic industry. Essential Functions Of The Position

• Perform a variety of tasks that will include having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb, and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and be able to hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocols.
  
  

Job Responsibilities Including But Not Limited To

• Following safety rules, regulations and procedures is mandatory
• Ability to operate and control screed of paving machine
• Ability to operate electronics for grade control and slope
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/DOT regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, and time of shift changes
• Ability and willingness to work along the interstates and thruways
• Ability to multi-task with crew to perform daily task of paving operations
• Be a team player
• Willingness to travel
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
• 3 years' experience civil heavy highway construction
• 1 years' experience on asphalt screed or similar equipment
• Familiarity with the State of NY and VT specifications, along with heavy highway construction and paving
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time
• Ability to travel as needed - night work, and weekend work when required
• Must be able to adapt to and work in extreme weather conditions

Base salary range

Asphalt Screed Operator

$41,600-$87,500

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
