Summary/Function:
This position will work closely with the Tax Reporting Manager to learn and assist with functions related to generating, and delivering 1099 tax reporting documents to clients of D.A. Davidson & Co. This position is responsible for creating and distributing client facing tax documents required of stock brokerage firms while ensuring that they comply with IRS requirements and industry best practices. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to guarantee accurate and timely distribution of client tax forms, while maintaining the highest level of security for sensitive personal and financial data.

Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Keen eye for accuracy
- Strong fundamental math skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience or general knowledge within the securities industry is a plus
- Understanding of general accounting principles is beneficial
- Experience with creating or working with tax documents a plus
- Ability to use appropriate, professional language and grammar to effectively exchange ideas and information
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other team members
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work successfully with a variety of personalities and various management levels
- General understanding of Microsoft operation system
- Ability to work scheduled hours for complete coverage across all times zones in which we do business
- Create, review, and approve tax documents, including Form 1099, to our clients
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and securities industry standards
- Work collaboratively with Operations Managers, Wealth Management, and branch staff to ensure optimum support levels
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of tax documents to clients through secure digital platforms or mail
- Verify the accuracy of all data included on tax forms
- Ensure compliance with IRS deadlines for tax document distribution
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or issues with tax document information
- Maintain accurate records of tax document distribution while maintaining the highest level of security for sensitive financial data
- Monitor for changes in IRS requirements and industry regulations related to tax documents
- Perform various other duties as assigned
