Investment Banking - Analyst
D.A. Davidson & Co. is accepting applicants for Analyst positions in the Investment Banking Group. The Analyst will play a critical role working with senior bankers on strategic assignments, assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements and other advisory services.
The Analyst program includes training with Wall Street Prep in the first year, with mentorship from senior bankers and ongoing training to advance their skills throughout the three-year program. After three years, Analysts will have the opportunity to be promoted to an Associate.

Qualifications:
•One year of Debt Advisory of similar experience within Investment Banking
•Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA
•Highly motivated and confident with a strong desire to succeed in a challenging field
•Become well versed in the leveraged finance private market including products (ABL, first lien, second lien, unitranche, mezzanine) and features (collateral, covenants, call provisions, amortization, cash flow sweeps, equity cures, etc.)
•Strong knowledge of business software (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
•Basic corporate finance and accounting knowledge
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong work ethic and team oriented
•Able to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
•Good judgment in confidential situations and ability to exercise discretion
•Flexibility to work long hours, nights, and weekends, as needed
•Upon hiring, the successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials Exam, FINRA Limited Representative-Investment Banking Exam (Series 79) and the Uniformed Securities Agent State Law Exam (Series 63)
•Highly motivated to learn
•Travel is required (i.e. client meetings, conferences, etc.)
Every day as an Analyst will be different. In this role you will:
•Work on a team and develop industry specific knowledge
•Prepare leveraged finance models and debt financing information memoranda
•Exposure to equity-linked securities (i.e., debt with warrants, convertible debt) a plus
•Sales-oriented with keen interest in interacting with a broad universe of institutional lenders/investors
•Excited to join a rapidly expanding NYC-based Debt Advisory platform that originates, structures and places debt financings for middle market private and public companies across multiple industries (Technology, Consumer and Industrials)
•Support the team’s projects, including business development and investment banking transactions
•Create financial analysis for a wide variety of projects, including company valuation, projections, peer analysis, etc.
•Prepare materials for team assignments, such as pitch books, management presentations, information memos, etc.
•Coordinate and perform due diligence
•Participate in recruiting efforts
