Senior Business Development Officer

Summary/Function:

The Senior Business Development Officer works with D.A. Davidson Financial Professionals to identify opportunities for trust services in their books of business. This individual is responsible for developing quality relationships across D.A. Davidson & Co. as well as building professional contacts outside of the company to support the growth of the D.A. Davidson Trust Company.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and related training; advanced degree or professional designation a plus 

•10 years industry experience in a business development function with a proven track record of sourcing and closing new business

•Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of the trust services, wealth management and securities industries

•Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including comfort speaking in front of large groups with the ability to resolve issues and build consensus among groups

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills including issue resolution and consensus building 

•Proven ability to proactively work successfully with both external and internal clients

•Ability to travel as needed (approximately 50% travel on an annual basis)

Duties:

•Develop, cultivate, and manage strong relationships with Financial Professionals through consultative and proactive outreach

•Deliver sales presentations, seminars, and consulting meetings with Financial Professionals and other Centers of Influence across partner distribution channels

•Contribute to the creation and distribution of marketing and other promotional efforts

•Maintain a working knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting estate planning and trust administration to share with Financial Professionals

•Active community engagement to promote a positive image of the D.A. Davidson Trust Company and to cultivate relationships with Centers of Influence

•Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed

The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
