Summary/Function:
D.A. Davidson’s Fixed Income Capital Markets team is seeking an experienced Vice President, Wealth Management Municipal Trader to lead retail municipal trading. This role serves as a primary resource for Wealth management financial professionals, focusing on trade execution, credit analysis, and tailored investment solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in municipal trading, a strong understanding of fixed income capital markets, and excellent analytical and relationship management skills.
\n- Trade Execution: Review and execute municipal trades, ensuring credit quality, accurate pricing, and best-practice executions.
- Client Support: Collaborate with Financial Professionals to meet their municipal bond needs, offering tailored recommendations and resolving trade issues.
- Market Expertise: Serve as the primary contact for municipal bond inquiries, proposals, and credit analysis:
- Tradeweb Oversite: Execute Trades, educate financial professionals on Tradeweb functions, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Coordination: Manage primary and secondary municipal bond offerings between Fixed Income Capital Markets (FICM) and Wealth Management. Provide support for Taxable Wealth Management traders as needed.
- Communication: Maintain email groups and share inventory updates with Wealth Management teams
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field
- 5 year experience in municipal trading or related roles
- Proficiency in municipal bond markets, credit analysis, and trading platforms (e.g., Tradeweb)
- General knowledge of the taxable fixed income space
- Strong problem solving, communications, and relationship building skills
