D.A.V. Electric, LLC, (D.A.V.) is a Florida-based Electrical Contractor seeking a full-time Electrical Superintendent with a minimum of 10 years of Commercial and Industrial Electrical experience for projects in the Florida panhandle. The successful candidate must be a detail oriented and career-minded leader that desires to work with a successful and professional company. The successful candidate will be safety & quality centric, technically proficient, creative, resourceful, and willing to travel. Job Description
- Supervise and direct large crews of electricians on federal, commercial, and industrial projects
- Ensure a safe work environment and adherence to company and project safety policies and procedures
- Promote and maintain high quality control and workplace safety standards
- Create, produce, and enforce Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA’s) and ensure daily pre-job briefs and weekly tailgate meetings are conducted properly and professionally
- Review project documents to include drawings, specifications, installation manuals, RFI’s, addendum, and scope documents
- Communicate and coordinate with the project management team, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
- Work with the Project Manager to identify project needs and ensure timely procurement to prevent delays or impacts to the project schedule
- Work with and direct craft foremen and general foremen
- Set clear goals and expectations for craft and field supervisors and routinely perform productivity audits to ensure craft is meeting the required labor unit production
- Monitor work progress and make changes as needed to keep the project on schedule and under budget
- Provide positive coaching to craft and mentor junior supervisors
- Provide accurate information for development of clear and accurate project schedules, daily progress reports, and payroll time sheets
- Manage and oversee the work of subcontractors and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with the contract documents
- Identify and communicate scope changes to the Project Manager and assist with creating and quantifying change orders
- Conduct post-project reviews to determine areas for future improvement
- Develop and maintain a network of professional relationships within the industry
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the NEC, NFPA-70E, and OSHA
- Be proficient and experienced in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems
- Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and qualify to drive a company vehicle.
- Travel Required
- Able to work nights and weekends when required
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience is required. Low voltage and fire alarm system experience is a plus
- Possess a Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- OSHA-30 certification
- Documented experience as an electrical supervisor
- Proficient computer (Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects) skills is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong work ethic and desire to achieve optimal results
- Experience working on Military/Federal projects is a plus
- Effective and efficient time management skills
- Willing to pursue additional training and certification
- Must be able to pass a thorough criminal history background check and be granted access to power generation facilities, military bases, and airports
