D'Ambrosio Eye Care is seeking someone who has excellent work ethic, customer service skills, and teamwork skills. We will train the right candidate to become a successful certified ophthalmic assistant (COA). Our technicians see the patients before the doctor in the examination room and are responsible for preparing the patient for the doctor. You will be obtaining patient health information directly from the patient as well as conducting ophthalmic tests, often utilizing specialized equipment. To be successful, you need to be accurate and consistent with your documentation and measurements as well as be someone who can confidently work to maintain timeliness and patient flow. Patient flow can be fast paced and interruptive, so you will need to be someone who can work in that type of environment while remaining professional and accurate. A good team like ours works together to get through the day.

What to expect:
- Health History: Train how to obtain a medical health history over the phone and/or in person while learning our electronic record system.
- Direct Patient Care: Spend most of your day working directly with patients and doctors.
- Medical Scribing: Accurately and consistently documenting exam and test findings
- Observation and Reaction: We are consistently looking for ways to stay and remain on time while maintaining patient care in an effective and caring environment. As a team, our office should always remain clean, friendly and respectful to patients and one another.
- Relationship Building: Individually, we strive to create and maintain professional and well-functioning relationships within the doctor and technician team along with creating lasting relationships with patients. The doctor and technician team work directly with patients, caring for them together.
- Your schedule: Our doctors do rotate schedules through our various locations. Technicians travel to other offices with the doctors as well. Hours are full time, Monday through Friday, between 8-5pm.
