D’Asign Source (www.dasignsource.com) is a leading high-end custom residential and resort design build company in the Florida Keys, and is seeking the right individual with leadership, experience, knowledge, and passion for our Director of Architecture position to lead the architectural design department on our award-winning projects.

D'Asign Source is a family-owned custom residential design build company. D'Asign Source offers full-service architectural design, construction, interior design, landscaping, furniture & finishes for new construction and renovations. With over 60 professionals on staff, our in-house team completes every project Concept to Completion.

The ideal candidate is an Architectural professional who possesses a history of achievement in quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site leadership of the Architecture department, in conjunction with other professionals, within all Architectural aspects of projects from initial concept through the completion of construction.
• Work, along with company management, to manage the design-build pre-construction process for all projects from initial client leads, conceptual and construction documents design, estimating, and construction contracts.
• Coordinate all project design work with other company departments such as Interior, Landscape Architecture, Estimating, Construction Management, and Finance.
• Provide the appropriate cost to value design based on clients’ needs and budgets.
• Complete all structural, MEP, and site design with internal staff and 3rd party engineering consultants, in addition to the architectural design.
• Curate all project-related design files, documents, and agreements.
• Sign and seal all Architectural plans, and manage the approval processes with local, state, and federal government agencies for permitting.
• Supervise and direct the Architecture department operations and develop staff to ensure adherence to design standards, schedules, productivity, and quality.
  
  

Education and Qualifications:

• Professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited architecture school; Master’s degree in Architecture preferred.
• State of Florida Architecture license required, NCARB certification a plus.
• 15 years in relevant residential and hospitality Architecture experience with 5 years of experience as an executive or manager of an equivalent architecture business.
  
  

Key Skills:

• Excellent working knowledge in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM Collaborate Pro, Blue Beam, Enscape, and comfortable using Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, and other Office 365 apps.
• Comfortable leading both presentations and technical conversations with clients, design staff, ownership, and consultants.
• High level of creativity and attention to detail.
• Possess a very good understanding of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components to design and document these systems for residential projects.
• Experienced in developing quality projects, both in new construction and renovations.
• Excellent presentation skills including the ability to artistically convey concepts to clients.
• Highly experienced in detailed construction documentation with good knowledge of CBS/masonry structural design and construction.
• High level of personal and professional integrity, with a willingness to learn and to teach others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including ability to articulate ideas, personable and outgoing in work relationships.
• Possess discipline and organization as a manager within a well-organized, yet rigorous and demanding environment.
• Exhibit a positive and professional attitude.

• Competitive compensation of $200,000 commensurate with experience, plus a performance-based Incentive Plan.
