Position Summary:
d&b audiotechnik Corporation is seeking a customer-focused, collaborative, and analytical Finance & Accounting Manager to lead the US-based Accounting team. The owner of the position will be responsible for all Accounting-related aspects of the d&b North America operation, enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to ensure financial records are accurate and in compliance with legal, tax and other company policies. The Finance & Accounting Manager interacts closely with d&b customers across the region as well as other d&b Managers, the Americas Senior Management Team, and the d&b HQ Finance Team in Backnang, Germany. They will act as a “trusted advisor” on all Accounting-related as well as budgetary and other financial matters. The Finance & Accounting Manager is based at the d&b Americas headquarter office in Asheville, NC and reports to the Americas COO.
Essential functions and work duties:
- Manage the Accounting Department with a respectful leadership style that conforms with d&b values and in accordance with US-GAAP standards as well as other Corporate guidelines and policies.
- Provide ongoing guidance, training, and advice to the Accounting team and other stakeholders; delegate and assign tasks to team members; maintain open communication and act as a liaison between the Accounting team and other US Departments as well as Global peers.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes; Manage and oversee month-end closing.
- Analyze financial performance through various reporting methods.
- Provide advice on financial strategies and legalities.
- Develop Finance and Accounting policies for employees and other stakeholders to follow.
- Foster and maintain positive, reliable, and growth-oriented customer relationships.
- Lead Annual Financial Audit.
- Support cost and cash management, insurance policies, leases and other related matters.
- Manage company inventory valuations and adjustments.
- Oversee all tax-related processes; ensure taxes are processed and paid correctly and on time.
- Stay up-to-date with GAAP, Accounting best practices, tax regulations, laws, and other relevant financial regulations and standards in the US and Canada.
- Co-manage the payroll process with the US HR Department.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and stay organized while managing multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Manage 3rd party advisors including financial auditors and tax consultants.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in all situations.
- Strong skills with ERP systems (preferably Business Central) and other electronic accounting systems.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, mainly Excel.
- Physical Demands: Occasionally lift and/or move objects 10 -20 lb. Frequent sitting and standing.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a corporate accounting manager, financial manager, CPA, or similar role that managed accounting processes; team management experience.
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required.
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA or CA certification is a plus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, Exempt position. Occasional evening and weekend work as well as national and international travel may be required as job duties demand.
Note for Hybrid Work: During the 90-day probationary period, employee is expected to work on-site full-time. Upon successful completion of probationary period, employee has potential for hybrid work. Work arrangements are subject to change at the company's discretion.
