8 hour shift
Salary Range: $68,000 – $75,000

Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of licensed Professional Engineers, Senior Engineers and Project Managers, this candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Construction management and inspection support associated with water supply, distribution, and planning projects
- Interfacing with contractors during construction to review plan drawings and provide assistance in overcoming drawings/site conflicts to keep projects progressing.
- Client interaction and teamwork with design engineers and other disciplines
- Running site meetings with Owners and Contractors.
- Reviewing completed work conforms to the approved drawings and submittals.
- Coordinating permitting efforts with various local regulatory agencies, including local and State health departments and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline is preferred
- 3 – 6 years of experience
- Willingness and ability to complete field work. This can involve climbing elevated structures, descending into excavations, entering confined spaces (below ground vaults or above ground storage tanks) and being in the vicinity of heavy construction equipment and vehicles
- Ability to read and understand contract drawings and specifications.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- FE/EIT and OSHA training is a plus, but not required
