Job Description

Candidate would be calling on and servicing our National Chain retailers on a designated route within the Wayne & Oakland County areas. This position would be responsible for: Inventory Management, Order-Writing, Merchandising, Achieving Sales & Distribution Goals, and Overall Account Management.

Sales Representative Job Functions
Individual must be able to perform the following essential duties at a satisfactory level:

  • Meet with store-level management and engage in sales-related discussion
  • Inform retailers of new items and promotions
  • Answer any retailer questions regarding our portfolio of brands
  • Write accurate orders, preventing any items from being out-of-stock, on a weekly basis
  • Sell in new displays and points of distribution at store-level
  • Best-Practices and idea-sharing with colleagues for achieving maximum success
  • Prepare sales proposals, including profit, margin, etc., to review at store-level with management
  • Communication of deliveries and order quantities, as well as any other service needs
  • Attend weekly sales meetings conducted at main office
  • Attend store-level vendor meetings, when necessary
  • Follow a set, weekly schedule to ensure all accounts are receiving the necessary services: Order-Writing, Deliveries, Merchandising
  • Inventory Management & Quality Control; Proper rotation items to ensure only the freshest products are being sold to consumers
  • Work alongside Merchandisers to assist with building displays, setting products on shelf according to new schematics
  • Execute planned programming and promotions at store-level
  • Product knowledge - Knowing the entire portfolio; Provide retailers with information on new innovations coming to market
  • Conduct store-level business reviews with retailers
  • Have an understanding of competitive products and pricing
  • Maintain positive relationships and winning attitude with retailers
  • Ability to regularly lift or carry products ranging in weight from 1-50 pounds
  • Ability to regularly push or pull large quantities of product on pallets, carts, etc., exceeding 100 pounds

Additional Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma (minimum); 18 or older
  • Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of experience within a related field
  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient with using Apple iPad, Cell Phone, Microsoft Office Software
  • Driving Authorizations: Valid Driver's License, Valid Auto Insurance, Reliable Transportation

Sales Representative Position Type

  • Full-Time: 5-day work week
  • Pay Range: Salaried Position $60,000 - $70,000-plus, per year
  • Monthly Car Allowance
  • Mileage Reimbursement

Sales Representative Benefits

  • PTO: 5 to 20 days (dependent on employment tenure)
  • Sick Time: Accrued, up to 40 hours
